Blizzard Sign Offensive Lineman Liam Wortmann II For The 2026 Season
The Green Bay Blizzard have officially signed offensive lineman Liam Wortmann II for the 2026 season.
Liam Wortmann II is a first-year offensive lineman joining the Green Bay Blizzard. He is a native of Piedmont, Oklahoma, not far from Oklahoma City. The rookie lineman has shown his ability to compete at every level. Now, he has the opportunity to prove it once again, this time, at the professional level.
Central Missouri is where Wortmann's college career began. He appeared in 35 games over four seasons (2021-2024) with the Mules, starting in each. During his final season with the team (2024), the o-lineman was awarded All-MIAA Second Team honors. In addition, the Central Missouri offense was second in its conference in points per game (39.1) and in sacks allowed (27). Following his great season, Wortman moved on to Colorado State, jumping from Division II to Division I. For Colorado State, Wortman played 11 of their 12 games in 2025. Again, he started in each contest in which he appeared.
The rookie lineman is preparing for a challenge. Wortman is signing with the Blizzard just before the team takes on the San Antonio Gunslingers, which boasts one of the best defenses in the IFL. He may need to lean on his experience, his teammates, and the great fans packing the Resch Center.
Welcome to the team, Liam Wortmann II!
