Blizzard Sign Offensive Lineman Mohamed Elazazy For The 2026 Season
The Green Bay Blizzard have officially signed offensive lineman Mohamed Elazazy for the 2026 season.
Mohamed Elazazy is a local athlete joining the Green Bay Blizzard! Although he was born in Cairo, Egypt, he calls Menasha, Wisconsin, home. As a result, he will not have far to travel before he makes his IFL debut. The Blizzard adds more depth with this 6-foot-5, 330-pound first-year player.
Green Bay's newest linemen brings midwest NCAA Division I experience. From 2017 to 2020, Elazazy attended Western Michigan University (WMU). He made his debut in 2018 with an o-line unit that was among the best in their conference, ranking second in sacks allowed per game. Learning under that unit benefited Elazazy. During the 2019 season, he appeared in all 13 games, filling in on the offensive line and on special teams. WMU was third in the conference and 18th nationally in fewest sacks allowed per game (1.38) that season. After COVID-19 claimed the 2020 season, Elazazy joined Alabama A&M. In 2022, he appeared in six of the team's 11 games that season.
Following his college career, Elazazy found opportunities with other arena leagues. Despite this, there will be a learning curve while adapting to the IFL, especially as the team moves past the midpoint of the 2026 season and looks to hold on to the first-place spot in the Eastern Conference. Thankfully, the Menasha product will have great teammates and experience to lean on with second-year lineman Jaime Navarro, third-year lineman Delvin Salter, rookie Dakota White, and Offensive Line Coach Dean Picotte, who has been with the team since 2019. Elazazy will have his first chance to debut on May 29, when the Blizzard hosts the San Antonio Gunslingers for Dairy Night at the Resch Center.
Welcome to the team, Mohamed Elazazy!
