Powering Up Playgrounds with Total Energy Systems
Since the beginning of the 2025 season, the Green Bay Blizzard have partnered with Total Energy Systems to begin "Powering Up Playgrounds" in Green Bay and the surrounding community! Throughout the Blizzard season, schools signed up to earn playground balls like footballs and kickballs. Each school in the program is signed up to win the balls based on random selection. Since starting the program, the partnership has awarded over 250 playground balls to over 50 schools in the area! In fact, during the 2026 season alone, more than 50 schools have already been selected to receive playground balls, and there is time for more schools to be added.
Between the 2025 and 2026 season, Blizzard players and staff, including kicker Andrew Mevis delivered the balls to winning schools programs. Now, Total Energy Systems is helping the Blizzard provide a unique game day experience that allows administrators and teachers come onto the field during the game and receive the playground balls they were awarded! The Powering Up Playgrounds looks forward to delivering more balls and powering up more schools during the season and after.
We hope that the program continues to grow! If you are interested in having your school join the Powering Up Playgrounds program, please email office@greenbayblizzard.com.
