Blizzard Sign Defensive Back Marcus Hillman For The 2026 Season
The Green Bay Blizzard have officially signed defensive back Marcus Hillman for the 2026 season.
Marcus Hillman is a six-foot-tall, 200-pound athlete from Camden, New Jersey. He joins the Blizzard with some professional football experience, having spent time in the CFL and IFL Training Camps. The 2026 season will be his first official season, making him a Green Bay rookie defensive back.
In college, Hillman played linebacker and defensive back for the Elon Phoenix, which competes in the NCAA FCS. From 2018 to 2022, the defender appeared in 47 games, racking up 188 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, one interception, five passes defended, eight forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries. He was a major contributor to the Phoenix in 2022 and earned a First Team All-CAA selection while leading the team in total tackles (83), tackles for loss (18.5), and sacks (8.5).
Since graduating, Hillman has signed with the CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers twice. He spent part of 2024 and 2025 Training Camp with the team. In 2026, he signed with the Arizona Rattlers; however, he has not yet seen IFL action. As a result, Hillman retains his rookie status, but he could make an immediate impact. The versatile defender gets his first chance to do so on May 2. Hillman and the Green Bay Blizzard defense prepare to be tested against a Fishers Freight offense that ranks second in points per game.
Welcome to the team, Marcus Hillman!
