Blizzard Sign Defensive Back Diondre Glover For The 2026 Season
The Green Bay Blizzard have officially signed defensive back Diondre Glover for the 2026 season.
Diondre Glover (5-11, 185) is a Covington, Georgia native. The defensive back will be an Indoor Football League rookie during the 2026 season. Glover will have his first opportunity to play during Week 6 action against the Iowa Barnstormers.
The path to the Blizzard was a winding one. Glover's college career began at Albany State, where he lined up as a receiver. Soon after, he switched positions to defensive back at Independence Community College in Kansas. There, he had five total tackles and two pass breakups in seven games. In his sophomore season in 2022, Glover played 11 games at the University of Central Missouri, putting together 22 tackles, two interceptions, 17 pass deflections, and one touchdown. For his efforts, the second-year DB was given First Team All-MIAA honors. An injury prevented Glover from playing the next season; however, in 2024, he suited up for Gardner-Webb and racked up 17 tackles, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble. Entering his final year of eligibility, Glover went to North Greenville, where he appeared in 12 games and recorded 11 tackles, one and a half tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, nine passes defended, and one forced fumble. To cap off the successful year, the soon-to-be Blizzard was honored with an All-Conference First Team Selection.
With week 6 of the IFL season rapidly approaching, the Green Bay Blizzard prepares for its second battle with the Iowa Barnstormers. Glover showed skill at every level of football he competed in, which opened up professional opportunities. When the Green Bay Blizzard takes the field on April 18, Diondre Glover may make his professional debut.
