Blizzard Sign Linebacker Brian Lee For The 2026 Season
The Green Bay Blizzard have officially signed linebacker Brian Lee Jr. for the 2026 season.
Brian Lee is the latest addition to the 2026 Blizzard. He is a Waldorf, Maryland, native, standing at 6 feet tall and 230 pounds. The linebacker joins a few weeks into the season as a second-year Indoor Football League player.
He began his collegiate career at St. Francis University, an NCAA Division I program in the Northeast Conference located in Pennsylvania. During the 2018 and 2019 seasons, the Red Flash linebacker appeared in 23 games and recorded 81 total tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, five and a half sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble. He ranked third in total tackles on the team in 2019. Then, in 2021 and 2022, Lee played for the Maine Black Bears. Maine is also an NCAA Division I program; they compete in the Coastal Athletic Association Football Conference. In 21 games, Lee recorded 97 total tackles, eight and a half tackles for loss, two and a half sacks, and one pass deflection.
In 2025, Lee joined the Quad City Steamwheelers. While with the Steamwheelers, he played multiple positions across the team's stout defense. That year, he suited up for nine games and recorded 31 tackles, nine and a half tackles for loss, and one sack. Lee's versatility allowed him to shift around the field and make big plays.
IFL historians will remember that Lee played against the Green Bay Blizzard on July 12, 2025, in the Quad Cities. Now, he will suit up for Green Bay and play his former team on April 11. Although joining an IFL team in the midst of the season poses challenges, Lee has great experience and familiarity with both teams. Fans can stream his debut game online on overnght.com, or join fans and staff at The Bar on Holmgren Way in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Welcome to the team, Brian Lee Jr.!
