Bio
Omari Carr gained experience with the Bay Area Panthers from 2022 to 2025. Most recently, he served as the Offensive Quality Control Coach and Equipment Manager during the 2025 season. He began as a practice player before transitioning into roles focused on practice and game film analysis, quality control, and equipment management. Carr's comprehensive understanding of the game and technical experience have allowed him to contribute effectively to the coaching staff and development of players.
Carr's coaching career also includes significant experience at the youth and high school levels. He served as the Head Coach for the San Jose Hit-Squad, a youth football organization, since 2021 and previously held varsity position coaching roles at Live Oak High School, specializing in wide receivers, and Fremont High School, coaching running backs and defensive backs. He is also the founder of Carr Training Athletics in San Jose, a performance-focused program specializing in speed and strength training for athletes ranging from youth to the collegiate level.
Before transitioning to coaching, Carr had a successful playing career in the Bay Area. He was a tailback at Oak Grove High School, helping lead the team to a CCS Championship in 2008 and ranked second in California with 2,003 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns during his senior season. His playing career continued at San Jose City College and various semi-professional football teams afterward.
