Green Bay Blizzard DB Ronnie Amadi (6’0” 190, University of Kansas) has signed a contract with the New York Dragons of the Arena Football League.

Amadi is the second player off the 2007 Blizzard roster to sign with the New York Dragons after teammate Jason Hardee signed last week. Amadi is looking forward to being reunited with Hardee.

“It’s going to be great to play with him again. He is an excellent pass rusher and works hard and I need that because it makes my job a lot easier,” said Amadi.

Amadi will not be joining his twin brother Donnie who will most likely be signed by another AFL team. This is the first time the two will be looking across the field at one another.

“It’s sad but it’s also happy. It’s time for us to split up and see what we can do on our own.”

Ronnie Amadi was a Second Team All-af2 selection at defensive back. He led the af2 in passes defended with 36 including 8 interceptions during the 2007 season.
